Lanark Health and Community Services (LHCS) is an incorporated non-profit organization, governed by a community-based Board of Directors that reflects our geographic and regional diversity. We serve a vast geographic area including all parts of Lanark County, and parts of the Counties of Leeds, Grenville and Renfrew. Our organization is comprised of 5 parts which came together, starting in 2001, to develop efficiencies, collaborations, and more integrated planning of a wide range of health and community services. LHCS serves as the umbrella under which the various parts come together for system-wide governance, senior management and higher level planning purposes, to better serve our communities and to better manage scarce resources.
While we are one incorporated organization, each part of LHCS has its own:
- core funding agencies;
- mandates;
- programs and services;
- target populations;
- and rich histories.
